Idris gets help from ex-Besut MP

KUALA TERENGGANU: There was neither time nor reason to sulk, so former Besut member of parliament Datuk Dr Abdullah Mohd Zain immediately set out to ensure that Barisan Nasional candidate Datuk Seri Idris Jusoh would win in the constituency.

A day after Terengganu BN chairman Datuk Seri Ahmad Said announced the candidates' list, Dr Abdullah paid a visit to Idris to work out a strategy to ensure BN makes a clean sweep of the parliamentary constituency and its four state seats.
"I am with Idris right now, and we just had a discussion on how to make a concerted effort to ensure BN makes a clean sweep again.
"I will be lending Idris a hand, there is no doubt about that," said Dr Abdullah yesterday.
The four state seats will be contested by Dr A. Rahman Mokhtar (Kuala Besut), Mohamed Mahadi Musa (Kota Putra), Muhammad Pehimi Yusof (Jerteh) and Nawi Mohamed (Hulu Besut).
"In fact, my wife, who is Wanita Umno chief here, has also started campaigning for Idris among the women."
Asked about support from the ground, he said the people in Besut were solidly behind BN.
"I do not see any problems in Besut and we will deliver our part of the bargain to ensure a big win for BN," he said.
