Negri romp, KL sneak into semi-finals

NEGRI Sembilan romped into the semi-finals from Group A with one match in hand when they beat Terengganu 3-1 in the National Under-14 tournament in Kuantan yesterday.
And the Negri toast was Fahkrul Razi who scored a brace in the 29th and 63rd minutes, after Mohamed Ikwan Ishak gave them the lead in the eight minute.
Mohamed Firas scored the Terengganu goal.
Negri have nine points after three matches, and wrap-up the fixtures against Malacca today.
Kuala Lumpur lived on to play in the semi-finals from Group B when play was stopped after the City boys took a 2- 0 lead.
The match was 10 minutes into the second half, and torrential rail caused it to be abandoned in favour of KL who sneaked into the semis on seven points.
In Group A, Penang and Perak booked their semi-finals slots on nine points, but Penang still have a match in hand against Perlis today to top the group.
RESULTS: Pahang 0 Perlis 1, Kelantan 2 Perak 3; Group B: Malacca 0 Kuala Lumpur 2, Negri Sembilan 3 Terengganu 1.
TODAY: Group A: Penang v Perlis (3pm), Kelantan v Pahang (5pm); Group B: Selangor v Terengganu (3pm), Malacca v Negri Sembilan (5pm).
