MAYBANK today announced that German golf sensation, Martin Kaymer will add to the headlines of the 156-men playing field at the Maybank Malaysian Open 2011 alongside South Africa’s Louis Oosthuizen and Charl Schwartzel and Ireland’s Rory McIlroy at the Kuala Lumpur Golf and Country Club from 14 -17 April 2011.
Kaymer, 26, is currently ranked no. 2 in the world after recently claiming his third Abu Dhabi HSBC Golf Championship title in four years to add to his three individual titles in 2010. He was also a member of the winning European Ryder Cup Team. He became the first player since Tiger Woods in 2006 to win three successive tournaments in a year and the first European to achieve this feat since Nick Faldo in 1989.
