PERAK'S Anderson and Seberang Temerloh of Pahang will battle for the Champion Schools hockey title at the Kuala Lumpur HA Stadium today.
Anderson, the favourites, dominated and beat Tunku Besar Secondary School (TBSS) of Negri Sembilan 3-0 in the semi-finals yesterday.
And Seberang Temerloh beat Khir Johari of Kedah 2-0 in the other semi-finals.
The Anderson goals were scored by Zakwan Badaruddin (fourth), Jasdev Singh (29th) and Zainol Akmal (48th). The Perak school have entered the final without losing a single match, and look the better side to lift the title.
However, Seberang Temerloh are looking forward to playing in the final, as they have plans to lift the title they last won in 2006.
"We were the champions in 2006 in Kedah, and are looking forward to another exciting outing tomorrow (today). We have enough players to give Anderson a run for the money," said Temerloh coach Mohamed sufian.
Temerloh had it easy against Khir Johari in the semi-finals, and were in total control after Azwan Sulaiman scored a penalty corner goal in the second minute.
But it was a tale of missed sitters, until the 61st minute when Hafiz Zainol consolidated their position, and they sailed into the final.
"With all my players available for the final, and the semi-finals not a taxing one, we will give our best to take the trophy back to Pahang," said Sufian.
